It's time for another great giveaway from one of my favorite shops: The House of Christmas Present.
I love this shop because they offer beautiful and great quality home decor and gifts at AWESOME prices. The pics in this shop does not do the items justice. In fact, the winner of the last House of Christmas Present giveaway just sent me this message in an email a few days ago:
"I got my pie plate yesterday. It is more beautiful than the picture showed! Thank you for the great giveaway!"
What more could you ask for? Oh yeh....I know! They also often carry my own handsewn design line of Bible covers as well. That's not the main reason why I love them so much though. They started carrying some of my designs after a innocent conversation as a potential costumer. Therefore, they are a double blessing to me!
Our last House of Christmas Present giveaway was so much fun that the owner is offering up another one. This time the giveaway item is one beautiful ornament to help remind you of the reason behind the season: a "Happy Birthday Jesus" ornament.
This giveaway will offer some unique options for additional entries but let's get the REQUIRED initial entry out of the way first:

The specifics:
Giveaway closes for entry on November 28, 2008 at 11:59 PM, EST. Sorry but contest is open to U.S. resident shipping addresses only, ages 18 and up. Up to seven entry comments per participating household. Each entry must be made in a separate comment. If a comment does not meet entry requirements as stated above, it will be disqualified if drawn as a winner. Participants must provide an email address in each comment or an email address must be easily obtainable from their profile-be sure to check your profile to see if this is the case. Email address may be written to avoid spammers i.e. Myname(AT)gmail(DOT)com and etc. However if we can't figure it out, we can't notify you of your winnings and an alternate winner will be selected. Winner must respond within three days of email notification send date to provide shipping information. If the winner does not respond within three days, an alternate winner will be selected. Isn't the reason of the season money? Tax free ten percent tithing money skimmed off the top and used for Xtian country clubs.

The Reason for the Season is to Celebrate the Birth of Our Lord.

I like the Christmas napkins that say "The Perfect Man" and have a gingerbread man on them. Very cute.
I grew up in a private Lutheran school. Every year we celebrated the birth of Jesus and every year I did not find myself moved by the holiday in any way. It wasn't until I was older and could understand the significance of what Christ coming into this world meant that I could truly appreciate how wonderful the birth of Christ truly is. Christmas is becoming more and more commercial, but I am glad that there are still people out there who understand the true meaning of Christmas.

The men and women who are serving this country are truly heroes. No matter what your position on the war is, we can all agree that they deserve our recognition and thanks. I hope that all of them have as best of a holiday season as they possibly can. We are all praying for them.

Thank you to all the men and women in the U.S. military services. My son did three tours in Iraq-Marine. I thought of how God sent his son Jesus to save people who despised him. In a lesser way that was how I felt when my son went to Iraq-he was being sent to save people who didn't like us.

A very heartfelt thank you to all of the men and women in our military. I thank you for your bravery, courage and dedication to help protect all of us and our country.
I don't think that our military is given the honor that they all deserve in our country. I personally stop and thank every person in uniform that I see to let them know that at least I care.
